The Position: Product Marketing Manager

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing product and category marketing strategies across HydraPak’s hydration, fueling, filtration, and performance systems ecosystem. This role serves as the bridge between product innovation and consumer understanding, helping bring new products and integrated systems to market through compelling positioning, retailer education, go-to-market planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Product Marketing Manager will work closely with Product Development, Creative & Content, Ecommerce, Partnerships & Events, Sales, and international teams to ensure HydraPak products are consistently and effectively represented across retail, ecommerce, events, distributors, and athlete/community channels.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong communication and organizational skills, experience managing complex product launches, and a passion for endurance sports, outdoor culture, and performance-driven consumer products

Our branded hydration products are available at specialty sport stores worldwide.

Duties and Responsibilities

PRIMARY:

  • Develop product positioning and messaging frameworks across HydraPak product categories, including run hydration, filtration, nutrition systems, cycling, and outdoor hydration.
  • Lead go-to-market planning and cross-functional launch coordination for new product introductions.
  • Translate technical product features into clear, consumer-focused benefits and storytelling.
  • Partner with Creative & Content teams to develop launch assets, product education materials, retailer support tools, and campaign messaging.
  • Support retail marketing initiatives by developing dealer education materials, merchandising support, product training tools, and sales collateral.
  • Collaborate with Ecommerce & Growth teams to optimize product messaging across DTC, Amazon, and digital marketplaces.
  • Work closely with Sales teams to support seasonal sell-in strategies and category storytelling.
  • Help maintain category architecture, naming systems, and product segmentation across the HydraPak portfolio.
  • Gather and analyze consumer, retailer, athlete, and market insights to inform product positioning and future opportunities.
  • Coordinate with international distributors and partners to support global product launches and localized marketing execution.
  • Ensure consistency of product messaging across retail, ecommerce, events, social, and international channels.
  • Support athlete, event, and partnership initiatives with product education and launch integration.
  • Participate in seasonal planning, launch reviews, and cross-functional business initiatives.

ADDITIONAL:

  • Participate in team meetings and quarterly planning.
  • Collaborate with peers within the marketing team, as well as cross-functionally.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-8 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role; prior experience in Outdoor Industry preferred
  • Experience in the outdoor, endurance sports, or consumer goods industry preferred.
  • Current driver’s license with good driving record; must be able to rent a car

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong understanding of product positioning, go-to-market strategy, and retail storytelling.
  • Ability to simplify technical product information into clear consumer messaging.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional projects and timelines.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Google Business Suite, Microsoft Office 365, and Drop Box
  • Ability to work autonomously, practice good judgment, effective decision making and time management skills
  • Ability to work in, and make a positive contribution to a team environment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with sales, product development, and external partners.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze marketing performance and adjust strategies accordingly.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a full-time position based in our Longmont, CO office Monday-Thursday with Fridays remote eligible. Pay range for this position is $80,000-100,000 annually with up to 10% bonus potential. HydraPak offers up to 120 hours of Paid Time Off in the first year of service, 11 paid holidays, a range of insurance benefits starting the first of the month following a 30-day waiting period, and a 401(k) plan with company match after 90 days.
